It worked out perfectly. It has room for large camera body, three lens (cushioned) and a large hot shoe flash w/Omni flash diffuser. I carried extra batteries, chargers, cell phone, compact flash cards and a compact mini tripod. There is also a place for a laptop and many pockets for small stuff. It has a very comfortable adjustable shoulder trap that is long enough to put over your head. Fixed straps on the ends can be used for all types of strap on carriers. I used it for a Tamrac water bottle holder. It has two full length zippers on the inside for flat storage. The best part about it is the two full length zippers on the top outside that give you total easy access to the inside without removing the bag from your shoulder or exposing what you have in the bag to the crowds. I suspect Tenba uses the same insert for the small bag. I would prefer it attach with velcro to keep it from sliding. - The build quality was lower than my previous Tenba bags, with thinner material and camera padding. I'd worry about traveling with gear. - The laptop area had less padding than I'd prefer. I wound up buying the LowePro Stealth Reporter AW. It is true that you can not fit a DSLR with a lens in the bag and expect to carry much else in the way of other photography equipment. It does however fit my Canon 5d mark II with a battery pack attached, my 24-70mm, 70-200mm, 50mm, and speedlight flash. I had to take some of the inserts out but I am happy with the way it is packed. Also, there's a lot of room to put a laptop... a thin one and other miscellaneous items such as keys, pens, notebooks, small paperback or things of that nature. I think the best part of this bag is the shape. Unlike many camera bags it's not super clunky. It fits nicely to your body and doesn't roll around. My other camera bag was really obnoxious in that if I bent over to take a shot then the whole bag came with me. So far this one has stayed in place and is well behaved.
